Welcome to the Photo Competition "Me and my Baltic Coast"!

The photo competition “Me and my Baltic Coast” ran until the end of September 2016 to display the multifaceted life around the Baltic Coast and to capture the typical as well as unique moments while living on and with the Baltic Sea.

The places 1-10 were selected by an international jury, who had the hard choice to evaluate all submitted pictures according to the criteria topic relevance, originality, quality, elaborateness and overall impression / emotiveness of the image and to rank all pictures with a scoring system.

The jury consisted of 6 scientists and photographers from all partner countries: Peter Skødt Knudsen (WWF Denmark), Magdalena Stella (Institute of Hydro-engineering, Poland), Jurga Marackinaite (Klaipeda University, Lithuania), Andris Urtans (University of Latvia), Agnes Anderson (Tallinn University, Estonia) and Wolf Wichmann (Photographer & Infobildungsdienst, Germany).

The places 11 to 20 were selected by Facebook-users, who gave their “likes” in the end of 2016/beginning of 2017.

The winners of the photo competition can be found on Facebook. Congratulations to all winners!
